PlayPark All-Stars 2020: SF2 League 2020

The SF2 League 2020 is the clash of the champions. This tournament will determine whose team is the real champion in Special Force 2.

General Rules

  • To take part in the action, make sure to read and understand the Rules and Regulations of the overall tournament.
  • By registering, participants are confirming that they have read and understood all the rules and guidelines and consent to any and all conditions.
  • The Tournament Officials have the right to change the rules with no prior notice or announcement. They also have the right to make decisions on cases not covered by the official rulebook for the fairness of the competition. The Tournament Officials decision is final.

Rules & Regulations

GENERAL

      • Participants may be required to take part in interviews and have their photos/videos taken by the media for publicity purposes.
      • All concerns regarding the match must be reported to the Tournament Official or 30 minutes right after the end of the match
      • Special Force 2 Moderators and PlayPark Employees are not allowed to join or participate.
      • The Tournament Committee’s decision is final and binding.
      • All matches will be recorded via livestream by selected caster for documentation purposes
      • All players will be using their personal SF2 accounts.
      • The participating Team is composed of 5-Man Team and a substitute if they choose to elect.
      • Third-Party Voice Chats like Raid call, Discord or Team Speak are allowed.

Substitution

      • All participating teams may elect 1 or 2 substitute player/s.
      • Teams will be required to submit their final line up including their substitute player one week before the tournament starts.
      • A team has to consist of at least five participants. Those persons will be called “team members” or “members” of the team in the following.
      • The administration highly recommends a lineup of at least 6 or 7 players. Unexpected issues for one single player are not a valid reason to postpone matches.

REPORTING TIME

      • Teams, with all team members present, are to report at least 30 minutes before the start of the tournament
      • After reporting in, team leaders must attend a tournament briefing by the Game Marshal and relay the information to their team members 15 minutes before the tournament starts. The organizers/game marshals will not be responsible for any penalties incurred by the team due to either failure of the team leader in attending the briefing or any miscommunication in information from team leader to his members

LATECOMERS

      • There will be no grace period as all teams are expected to be present 30 minutes before the scheduled time
      • However, organizers will seed these latecomers in the tournament brackets according to their discretion
      • If the latecomers still do not show when their match is called, they will be declared absent and the match declared a walkover.
        • 5 minutes – Automatic map pick to opposing team
        • 15 minutes – Free bye for game 1 to the opposing team
        • 30 minutes – Team gets disqualified

BEFORE MATCH PROCEDURE

      • All technical preparations must be done 30 minutes before the scheduled time.
        • Conference Call with the game marshal via google meet should be done 10 mins before the start of the tournament time.
      • The elected substitute should be ready and available anytime during the tournament time.

DURING MATCH PROCEDURE

      • Deliberately stopping, hanging or disconnecting during gameplay will result in immediate disqualification.
      • Usage of any external programs to gain an advantage will result in automatic disqualification and will be banned permanently.
      • In the event of unintended disconnection, the score will be resume from were before the disconnection occurred
      • Illegal or improper movement, not normally made by using the map is not allowed
      • Any usage of any abusive language will result in a warning point given and may lead to disqualification

DISCONNECTION

      • If the player got disconnected during the pre-gunfight situation (all players (5 vs 5) are still alive in the round regardless of how much HP they get damaged). The round must be restarted.
      • If the player got disconnected during the post-gunfight (at least one (1) player is killed and out of the round). The corresponding round must continue to end and its result score is recorded. After the round ends, the following round is played in a new game room.

TOURNAMENT MECHANICS

      • The competition method is a 5 vs 5 match team match. A set is played in a BO3 match with 7 rounds, single round-robin system(group stage)
      • Top 1 in the round robin will automatically moves on to the PPAS Finals
      • Top 2 to top 7 will fight for the final slot using a ladder system
        • Ladder system will seed higher ranking teams (ie: 7v6 > v5> v4 >v3 >v2)
        • Matches in the ladder system will be BO5
        • Higher seeded teams will always be Team A
        • The winner will advance to the PPAS SF2 League 2020 Finals.
      • Map and side will be determined via VETO System:
        1. Team A bans 1 Map
        2. Team B bans 1 map
        3. Team A picks the map for game 1 and Team B has side choice
        4. Team B picks the map for game 2 and Team A has side choice
        5. Team A picks the map for game 3 and Team B has side choice
        6. Team B picks the map for game 4 and Team A has side choice
        7. Team B bans 1 map
        8. Team A picks the third map and Team B has side choice
      • Official Map list:

          • Power Plant – Sabotage
          • Ghost Town – Sabotage
          • Missile – Sabotage
          • Anaconda – Seizure
          • Nerve Gas – Seizure
          • Hospital – Seizure
      • There will be no gear or item restriction, any weapons except for SNIPER are allowed in this competition.
      • The final 2 will compete with each other on FINALS in a best of 5 match.

NOTE

    • All participants are required to play fairly, conforming to the rules of good sportsmanship
    • This is an official event hosted by PlayPark, and the Policies made by the Tournament Committee will be strictly observed and enforced during the event.
    • Violation to any of the aforementioned Tournament Rules and Mechanics, Pre-game/In-game Procedures can be used as a ground for disqualification.
    • Players must follow the Tournament Mechanics. Failure to abide by the Playpark All-Stars 2020 General Rules will result in immediate disqualification of the whole Team.
